Join us on Sunday 8th December for our first ever Christmas market all in aid of the fabulous Marie Curie charity!

This year we have decided to give a little extra as ‘tis the season of giving! We have set a huge target for ourselves in the aim of raising £10,000 for Marie Curie, a charity that we have supported for a long time. To reach this target we will be hosting our first ever Christmas market at San Giovanni to all in aid of raising money for the charity.

The event will run from 1pm - 6pm and will be the perfect festive day out. Will we be hosting the event on our outdoor terrace and it will be completely free to attend, we do just ask that anyone attending would be kind enough to make a donation directly to Marie Curie on the day.

We have arranged a fabulous selection of stalls from our suppliers and local business a list of which can be found below. They will be here to showcase & sell some of there most popular festive items & treats and all will have card payment facilities available. We will also be serving a selection of festive tipples & treats from our own outdoor bar and also have a selection of San Giovanni goodies for sale on the day!

Here on the day there will be:

• San Giovanni - our outdoor bar will be geared up with mulled wine, naughty (& nice!) hot chocolates, Champagne cocktails, festive G&T’s and beers. We will also have our very own San Giovanni shop - vouchers, raffle tickets & branded gifts perfect for Christmas! Think champagne glasses, chefs aprons, umbrellas, golf balls & accessories & shopping bags for all your goodies!

• Marie Curie - of course the fabulous representatives from Marie Curie will be here spreading the word of the amazing work they do for their patients with terminal illnesses and their families & hopefully taking lots of donations to help us reach our target

• Gayton’s Bakery - our wonderful bread suppliers who are a much loved family run business will be bringing an array of festive treats like mince pies, Christmas gingerbread, shortbread and lots more

• A Di Maria & Sons - one of our longest standing suppliers and friends selling an array of Italian festive foods. They’ll be panettone, olive oils, cured meats & cheeses perfect for nibbling on over the festive season

• The Smithy Farm Shop - another of our wonderful local suppliers bringing a variety of cheeses, Christmas accompaniments, fruits, vegetables & chutneys

• The Cupcake Kitchen - our go to cake & cupcake queen for all occasions will be here selling a selection of festive bakes and cupcakes

• The Secret Wardrobe Boutique - think Gucci, Dior, Christian Louboutin & Chanel, Emily brings a luxury stall for that extra special Christmas gift with both new and pre-loved designer bags, shoes & clothing - a real wow!

• Flowers By Stephanie - our fabulous florist will be hosting live Christmas wreath making demonstrations giving you tips and tricks & selling vouchers for her wonderful workshops & flowers

• The Sheepy Choir - our local ladies bringing you two sets of fabulous festive tunes and carols at both 2pm & then again at 3pm

• Pretty Linen - the wonderful Rochelle will be bringing her handmade luxury linen pieces for the home including cushions, napkins and of course her best selling Christmas Stockings

• Parky’s Farm - just around the corner from us in Sheepy they will be here selling their moo-reish festive flavoured milkshakes

• Carlicious Catering - Street food isn’t our bag but it certainly is Carlton’s! He’ll be here to serve a delicious selection of hot porcetta rolls, festive burgers, posh fries and more!

• Noel’s Ice Creams - our lovely family run ice cream suppliers will be here selling festive flavoured ice creams if you fancy something to cool down after a mulled wine...or two!

A few important things to note before the day:

• Please note that the whole event is outdoors but there will be covers and heaters here on the day.

• Unfortunately we are unable to allow dogs to the event.

• Due to the logistics of the event as well, some drinks will be served in disposable glassware.

• With anticipation of this event being busy & as well as our restaurant open as usual, you may need to find alternative roadside parking.

• We will not be serving our usual bar menu on the day and will only be serving our Sunday lunch and a la carte menu to diners in our restaurant.

• Both cash and card facilities will be available for the stalls & Marie Curie donations.

‘Tis the Season of giving and this Christmas, you may have seen our many posts, we are raising money for Marie Curie charity, a charity we have supported and been thankful to for years, but this year we want to give that little more to help them continue to support and care for people with terminal illnesses...

Alongside our first ever Christmas market, we will be running our luxury Christmas raffle with tickets for sale from Friday 15th November until the draw date.

Tickets can be purchased from our restaurant so please ask any member of staff and they will be happy to help! Tickets will be £2 each and every penny from the sales will be donated to the Marie Curie charity.

Raffle T&C’s

• Tickets will be sold for a price of £2.00 per ticket and all proceeds of the tickets will go to Marie Curie registered charity

• No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 18 years. If a ticket is sold unwittingly to, on behalf of or for, a person under the age of 18, they will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit their prize and the payment will be returned.

• Tickets will be on sale up until close of business on 14th December 2024 before the draw on Sunday 15th at 12pm Raffle tickets will be drawn randomly.

• Prizes will be allocated in order of the tickets being drawn from the 1st prize down. The result of the raffle draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

• We can accept no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, damaged, and illegible or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified

• Please keep the ticket or allocated number as proof of purchase

• No prizes can be exchanged for cash value

• All expiry dates on the vouchers are determined by the donors and San Giovanni is not responsible for any vouchers that are not redeemed within their allocated times
